Holkham Hall Wedding Display

We currently have two of our replica wedding bouquets on display at Holkham Hall. We were kindly asked to replicate two of the Coke family wedding bouquets in Spring this year, to be displayed alongside the original wedding dresses. Unfortunately, we were unable to take our own photographs of the flowers, as the dresses were not ready at the time of delivery. However, if you log on to the Hall’s website (Wives and Daughters Exhibition) you will be able to find out when you can pop along to see this magnificent display.
Getting the most from your Cut Flowers

Always recut the stems of your flowers when you get them home and place them straight into water. Do use the flower food supplied with the flowers, it will give them a good feed and keeps bacteria and disease at bay. Remove dead heads and leaves as soon as they are noticed. When changing water, which should be done every couple of days, or daily if you have time, remember to wash the stems too. Clean water will soon become dirty with unclean stems. There is no need to add more flower food at this point, as you could over feed the flowers. Always place flowers in a suitable place, away from draughts, direct sunlight and direct heat. In addition to this, placing them in a cool room overnight will ensure you get the best from your flowers. Drooping Tulips

Always place a 1p or 2p coin in the vase when arranging tulips, this will help them to stand tall and prevent them drooping. Tulips continue to grow, even when cut from the bulb, so give them minimum water and top up regularly. The more water you give them, the more they will grow!

We took delivery of a large load of Freedom (Ecuador) Roses – “fair to the grower and fair to you” – The roses are flying out the door and this is possibly the last chance to order for tomorrow. This aside, we also have other georgeous flowers – tell her/him you love them in the best way possible – flowers always make you smile. Also, chocolates, homemade cupcakes, balloons and beautiful plants. Don’t delay make someone happy today!

Our shop is brimming with balloons – help! Both myself (Andrea) and Janine went on a balloon course at Harlow over the weekend and have brought back the fruits of our labour.
